With a passion for research and development, Ankit Agarwal, a science communicator and Mechanical Engineering researcher, specializes in various fields, including Vibration analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), piezoelectric wind energy harvesters, and vibroacoustic materials. He strongly believes that a brighter tomorrow can be achieved through the combination of research, technology, and conservation efforts.

Dr. Ankit has more than five years of experience as a Research Fellow on a DST-SERB project titled “Computational and experimental study of flow-induced vibration of a plate with piezoelectric material to improve performance of wind vibration energy harvester” in Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology. His work involves measuring flutter data and processing it to identify vibration characteristics using Fourier transform and other techniques. He has excellent skills in doing experiments on structural vibration, flutter measurement, and post-data analysis.

Currently, Dr. Ankit is working as an assistant professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram, Haryana. He has completed his Ph.D. Mechanical Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala, Punjab – India, in July 2023.  His work mainly focused on flow-induced vibration, wind vibration energy harvesting using piezoelectric materials, and computational fluid dynamics.
